The Dambimangari Aboriginal Corporation (DAC) is seeking expressions of interest from Dambimangari members including youth to join the Dambimangari Country Tourism Advisory Committee (DCTAG). This Committee will provide strategic guidance on tourism development to ensure it aligns with cultural values, environmental sustainability, and community aspirations.
The Advisory Committee will:
· Provide recommendations to the DAC Board on tourism policies and initiatives.
· Ensure tourism activities respect Dambimangari cultural heritage and traditions.
· Foster collaboration between DAC, Dambimangari people, and tourism stakeholders.
· Advocate for sustainable tourism that benefits the community and protects Country.
Who Should Apply? We invite applications from Dambimangari members who:
· Have knowledge or experience in tourism or cultural heritage, environmental and management, or community development.
· Are passionate about protecting and promoting Dambimangari culture and Country.
· Can provide insights to balance cultural obligations with tourism opportunities.
· Possess good communication and or leadership skills in promoting Dambimangari perspectives in tourism development.
How to Apply Submit an Expression of Interest outlining:
· Your experience and interest in tourism.
· Your experience on previous and or current Boards and Committees.
· How you can contribute to the Dambimangari Country Tourism Advisory Committee (DCTAG).
